It's time for another mini Virtual Stamp Night! We're warming up for the big event in August with five new challenges starting tonight and running through Aug. 8! Please join us in the VSN forum - we'd love to have you play along!
This is my card for JoAnn/Sarahzoe's challenge. Her challenge was inspired by the Shel Silverstein poem "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout would not take the garbage out," so she challenged us to use only use products, tools and supplies sitting on our stamp table!
You can find out more about her challenge here:Forums at Splitcoaststampers
My biggest challenge in this challenge was ink colors - I only had stazon black ink and four reinkers on my table. Fortunately, I found scraps in my pile that matched them, and some ribbon, too! I stamped the flower image in black, then attempted to watercolor it with my reinkers. I didn't love how it looked, so i did a pink watercolor wash over the whole thing, and while it was still wet, stamped the image again using pomegranate. I kind of like how it turned out!

Wow, Michelle, this is beautiful. You had great scraps left on your table. Pretty ribbon treatment and I like the idea of the colorwash. Fabulous card. Thanks for playing my challenge.

I really like how the pomegrante stamping-over looks! I read your commentary to find out how you did it. Even though these were the colors left on your table, they are a great color combo. Wonderful card!

I love how this turned out! The colorwash is great! Maybe you should do a technique tutorial! Great card!
