I've been on a ribbon weaving kick recently so when I saw the It's All About the Ribbon challenge for the Dirty Challenge, I knew what direction I wanted to go in. About 5 minutes later I heard a thud by my front door and my new pre-view order had arrived (yipee!!). Since I absolutely couldn't wait to use them, I pulled out the Pink Pirouette paper and the Window Dressing set and away I went! The little face has actually been colored with markers onto white paper and paper pieced onto the scallop. The scalloped edge was done the old fashioned way with a corner rounder, and then I made some swirls with a white gel pen along the top and bottom edged.
The ribbon panel was pretty straight forward, except for the pink piece. That strip was cut extra long and looped around periodically in the weave. It wasn't intentional, but I think it looks like little pink hearts in the weave.
Thanks for looking! I'm loving all of these challenges!
