I reproduced the medalion and kept the papers/colors, but changed the format to a Jacob's ladder. I have used the striped ruby red paper but it appears on the backside of the "pages" in the book.
Tonight my little girl, Elizabeth, is sleeping for the very first time in a "big girl bed". I keep sneaking into her room to see her little body in that big bed (and to make sure she's not fallen out!). The new sheets that she's wrapped up in are this same color combo, and I think that's what drew my eye to the inspiration card today.
I decided to make it a book/album style creation becuase I've been meaning to make a little book about her first couple of years. When she was born just over 2 years ago she was 3 1/2 months premature and weighed only 20 ounces. She's been through a lot and has really come a long way. She is the light of my life and, in so many ways, a true "small wonder".
This was the first Jacob's ladder book I've made and I'm thrilled with it. I loved them when I was little, and having made one, I can say that it does not take the magic of them away.
thanks for looking!

Kathryn this is wonderful. You gave my heart a little tug with that sweet little bit about your baby. I have three late teen daughters and it is hard not to wish them little again. It gets so hard as they grow to let go of the little things. They grow so fast. This is just beautiful. Love the wonderful fun colors. Hug that little one really tight. They are the most precious gift we have ever been given.
