For today's WT172, I chose to honor the red-winged blackbird that sits guard in a pine tree beside our pond day and night and takes on the largest of intruding crows and large birds. He defines the word confidently that is in the quote! The tree is made from a small tree stamped many times. I lightly sponged the background to soften the sky. The dp is actually small silver leaves that look a little like feathers to me. The rest is pretty simple because he is probably a very simple bird.
