I know, I know, it's a little late to tackle making hubby a Father's day card. Well, the last Frog one that I was going to give him went to my grandfather instead. So rather than re-make that one (why didn't I make 2 the first time?), I decided to try something with one of my favorite retired stamp sets....
We have 4 cherubs, 2b's/2g's, so each little fish is colored for a child. A little masking got them layered up. Dad's fish was stamped and colored on the same cardstock as the little ones, but then I decided to make another and put in on later with dimensionals. The fish are all colored with ink off the lid and a blender pen.
I placed a post-it note cut-out over the fish, and rolled a brayer covered with 6 rubber bands inked in tempting turquoise and then green galore over them. I used the jellyfish tentacles for the seaweed....I inked them with gable green craft ink and embossed it with Crystal Clear EP.
Once I decided on the styled silver hardware, I wanted to add a little more silver, so out came my silver cord and then sponged a little (too heavy?) over everything, and presto-chango, 4 hours later, I have finished hubby's Father's Day card.....
Hope he likes it!

WOW! Wonderful effect with the water! And what a great idea to use the tentacles as seaweed! I have this set too and would never have thought of it in a month of Sundays!!
TFS!
You are amazing!! This card is so cool and I love the colors. I need to find my brayer and play around with it--well uh, maybe when school starts.
