This card is what came out when I started intending to follow yesterday's Inspiration Challenge. I wanted to work with some black florals behind a more ore less monochromatic background, but I just can't keep my hands off from those sponged and brayered backgrounds and my beloved white highlights against the black image, LOL! And the florals turned over to a tree, and I can't find a bird on the Inspiration Candles, but it ABSOLUTELY wanted to sit on that beautiful tree, so I couldn't resist to give it a place!
The white highlights are this time not done with Teykol but with a white jelly pen. The background is sponged with different shades of blue and green Adirondack inks using a blending tool. The bird has some silver sparkle on it, as well as the dots on the tag - it doesn't show well on the photo.
Well - not too much similarities with the Challenge Candels, but hey, I have been inspired by the challenge, so perhaps this card can still be accepted for the Inspiration Challenge?!?
