A great challenge. I loved the website we were directed to and really enjoyed doing what I ended up with even if it wasn't something from the website! It made me think about stained glass in general and that I used to do this some years ago. I decided to use a stained glass fan lamp shade that I made as my inspiration. I don't have any stamps that are bird related so I had to draw the bird freehand and cut out. This was sponged with Tim Holtz distress inks and the fdetail drawn in freehand with a black glitter gel pen. The card blank was cut freehand again and sponged with inks. I added a piece of Basic Grey dp which I distressed the edges of and highlighted all the swirls and flowers with green stickles. The flowers were cut with nestabilities dies, drenched in stickles and then cut to make petals (saw this somewhere on SCS but can't remember who did it, thanks anyway!). I added a prima flower, a button threaded wire and beads. The sentiment had the same treatment and was lifted with dimension pads as was the bird. TFL

This is so pretty - great inspiration piece and the creation is awesome.
