I used Ranger 'Antique' Stain to do the edges of the ripped paper and the edges of the card. I also used Always Artichoke to do the outside of the corrugated paper. I used the water pens to color in the Soldier and highlights.
NOTE: I used my glass mat as my ink palette. I used the spot stamps and stamped them a few times on a section of the glass mat. Then I dipped my water pen into the color I needed, swished it around to get the consistency of color I was wanting and then 'painted' with it onto my design. A simple laminated cardstock is another option for a palette.
