I was experimenting, (like I tend to do quite often!) and I was wanting to do an ice cream themed card, but didn't really have any stamps for it. Well, I started playing with some scalloped round punches and a triangle of medium brown cardstock, and this was what I ended up with.....
Its kind of cute and crafty-looking, it looks cuter in person. I try to take decent pictures of my cards and they just never seem to look the same...the back piece is actually a darker brown, but it looks black here....
I was thinking it was going to be original , but upon my looking through the gallery today, I saw another ice cream cone card! lol! oh well, i guess it must be a good idea then!
I basically punched out the scallop circles, trimmed the bottoms with decorative scissors, then used chalk inks to give dimension to the edges. I punched a small folk heart and cut off the bottom to round it, then i scored and cut a piece of light brown paper to look like a cone, then inked the edges and scores.
I used versamark for the little background sparkles, used black for the sentiment, and added ribbon.
