Todays Inspiration challenge piece can be seen here - a piece of art by Charley Harper: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I spent the day at a card workshop where I met several SCS ladies for the first time (see pics in an album in my gallery - I'm loading them after loading this card). But I had looked at the challenge last night and so was thinking about what I might do.
On the way home from the workshop my friend and I stopped at a wonderful stamping store (Ink About It in Westford, MA) and I bought the acetate grid paper that I used on this card.
There is no stamping on this at all - I used a BasicGrey rub on bird from the Periphery set. I cut squares of DP based on the colors in the inspiration piece. I attached the panels to the acetate with the brown brads.
I'm so pleased with how this came out! Thanks for the great challenge Stephanie!

Wow, Julia, this is gorgeous. That grid paper is an awesome element to use and perfect for this card. Pretty rub on bird and great colors. Love the effect of the acetate and grid.

Love your card! This is one of the few times I wish I still live in MA (I grew up in Foxborough) since we have no good shops near me here in NC.
I love everything about this card!
