Whoo Hoo! Another fantastic MFT sketch challenge from Cindy Haffner! I decided to use my Rain or Shine set with this sketch. My good friend Beth is coming to visit the first week of February, and I got her this set because it reminded me of her and her dachsund Oliver! Of course I had to have a card to go with her gift, and I thought it would be fitting to make a card with the set I got for her!
I based the colors for this card around this fun dp from K & Co.. The large bg panel is gable green and is matted with bashful blue and orchid opulence. I used my Scatter Sunshine jumbo wheel to make the bg on the gable panel. I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Rain or Shine in orchid opulence on this layer. The dp panel is matted with orchid opulence. I used my nestabilities to make the matting layers for the main image panel. I stamped the lady image, from MFT's Rain or shine, on whisper white cs in black stazon. I paper pieced the ladies outfit with the K & Co. dp, and colored in the rest of the image with prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I added the fasteners from the pewter Hodgepodge Hardware and looped a piece of the 1/4" bashful blue grosgrain ribbon. For the final touch I added the green and purple primas with a blue rhinestone brad center.
LOL! It was after typing this all up that I realized the last time I used this K & Co. dp was on a card for Beth. Oh well, at least I know she likes it!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!
