I had originally planned to do a card for today's Limited Supply Challenge with my brand new Embrace Life set, but then I was checking out one of Roxi's cards and she referenced this great site with wonderful Art Posters and I was inspired by one of the prints to go a different way. I ended up with another kind of faux leather piece. The texture on the original print by Alan Buckle here http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Teal-B..._i1815842_.htm lead me in this direction. First I embossed the flowers with Gold Glory EP and I used a Versamarker to extend the stems. Then colored the flowers with pads and blender pens. Then I used a Versamarker to go over the colored flowers and embossed with clear EP. I love the almost Cloisonne effect this gives the flowers. I started layering shade of brown and mustard ink onto the cardstock until I got the desired look. Then I added the dots with the white gel pen (it may have looked better before that addition, but it's a done deal now). I can't decide if the lower left corner needs some gold eyelets. What do you think?
