Yeah! Here is my card for today's limited supplies challenge- make a FLAT holiday card that has limited layers and only flat embellishments (glitter, untied ribbon, etc). It just so happens that one my designs for Christmas cards this year fits these criteria perfectly! This was a great motivation to get me started on this card!
The card base mat is glorious green and I stamped a holly design from Background Basics in gold ink. The next layer is very vanilla and the top and bottom edges are torn- to add a little texture. I stamped a swirl design by Magenta on this layer. The top layer of the card base is real red. I stamped the sentiment (All Holidays) in Versamark and embossed with gold ep. The main tree image (Jolliest Time of the Year) is stamped in versamark on white cs and embossed with gold ep. It is colored in with watercolor pencils. The main image is matted with real red and glorious green, and I used the ticket corner punch on all three layers.
I was going for a traditional feel with this card...I love the green, red, and gold together! Thanks for the great challenge Jen and I hope you all like my flat holiday card!
Thanks for looking!
