I have created a card for the drive in Canada -
Letters of Love/Pikangikum First Nation (signed letters of encouragement to First Nation community that lost its only school to fire) Sponsor: Crissy (#1artist4HighHopes)
I have created a butterfly by generation stamping and only colouring the first stamp and have the other butterflies lighter. The other butterflies represent coming out of the ashes and becoming brighter and more beautiful. I hope that the community will feel encouraged as the new school is being rebuilt.
Stamped bblack on wwhite - single layer card with a ribbon.

I love the simplicity of this and so full of meaning. Peaceful and tranquil. You have put a lot of love into this project and it shows in the beauty of this card. I absolutely love it! tfs

This card is breath-taking. ANd the story behind its design ties in so wonderfully to your chosen card drive--the Pikangikum kids and teachers will love it all!
THanks for playing in my Double Dog Dare challenge!
For others who may want to support this cause, here's the thread in Need a Lift:
The messages inside the cards received will be translated into Ojibway and read over the local radio station to encourage the community as they rebuild.

This is a beautiful and meaningful card. What an inspiring idea with the butterfly. Just awesome!
Unfortunately, the community will do without a school building until 2010, and will be in portables until then. This is one of the reasons for the drive, to bring their plight to the attention of Canada.
Thanks for taking part!
