I'm so excited - a good friend of mine (and stamping buddy) just had a baby boy. We've been waiting to find out if it was a boy or a girl and now he's here! I made this card today during my baby's naptime and I'm quite pleased with how it came out. I decided to use Beate's weekend sketch challenge** for the layout.
The focal image is from the Wash Day jumbo wheel, watercoloured with my aquapainter, blender pen and inkpad lids. The way the wheel rolled out, I just had trailing dotted line in the lower right portion of the image, which looked a bit odd so I added in a little butterfly with my black pen. Fortunately the primitive style of the stamp lent itself to this addition.... The sentiment circle is highlighted with a bit of green stickles on the head of the safety pin. I don't know if it shows up, but the card itself is textured cardstock, and there are some little embossed circles I made with my crop-a-dile (thanks again to Beate for that great tip!). The green dots on the green paper are the solid circle in the Riveting set, stamped off once.

Karen, it's so cute! Love it!
I really like your dotted background, the colors and the dry embossed dots on the side. Wonderful baby card.
Thanks so much for playing with the sketch. Hugs and smiles
