Ok...multi-purpose card here. First, I want to thank Shelly (papermoon04) for sending me these images. A friend of our family's son is having some serious eye problems due to a hiking accident. So, he has to wear a patch on his eye right now which he thinks is sooo cool. I wanted to send him a get well soon card, and thought this would be appropriate.
Also, this is for Michelle's (eliotstamps) VSN pre-challenge. The challenge is to use hemp or twine or natural fibers on your card....no ribbon or yarn. Well, I'm all out of hemp and twine, but I do have some raffia sitting around. I think that's a natural fiber....
For the background, I took a piece of cardstock that had been rolled with the Matey's Map wheel and spritzed it with water, then crumpled it up good...several times. Then, I peeled away one of the cardstock layers, so it's kinda thin. I colored the images with my watercolor pencils/aquapinter and then used used paper tearing and DTP to give the images kind of a burned look. To finish the card off, I wrapped the whole front with raffia. Once all of the images were in place, I DTPd some more. I LOOOVE the way this turned out...thanks for looking!!!
