So...I got a some new rubber for my birthday and naturally had to put it straight away to good use! One of the Aug Wish RAK challenges was to make a card for a school age child using primary red, yellow, and blue.
Okay, so you're wondering how I got this out of that challenge right? I never have been good at staying in the parameter on creative indeavors I truly did mean to use the right colors, but I HAD to use this design that's been stuck in my head, and the dp's I had didn't work with the primary colors.
But it IS a back-to-school card for my bestest pal. She is resuming her college classses after the summer break. So, see...I didn't BREAK the rules, just twisted them.
The edges of the scallopped strips are sponged in blue to make them more *watery*. The boat(s) are popped up. The clouds are cut out too, but not popped up.
NOW, I still need to come up with a back-to-school card for my nephew who just started Kindergarten!
