for a challenge among friends...make a 'happy cows' card. i had so much fun making this one, lol! a few thoughts for the inside sentiment...
'so...what have YOU been up to lately?' or,
'just a note to cheer you on!'
now the details. i initially stamped the two bottom center cows (all night media) close together on the white panel. then, two more on scrap paper which were cut out and stacked. the two side cows are from birthday banter. i stamped one on scrap and one on acetate and transfered it to white cs to get the reverse image. the one stamped from the acetate transfered too faintly, so i just redrew over the lines with a fine tipped black marker. on this cow stamp the cow has flowers instead of the regular cow markings, but i just colored over them with black marker. when i cut the cows out, i cut off the legs and repositioned them a little for the 'standing on their hind' legs effect. i added some grass and sponged a little blue chalk for sky. the grass, horns, mouth and udders were colored with colored pencil.
for the background card i drew and colored cow spots with a black marker.
thanks for looking!

You always amaze me with how you MAKE a stamp work whether it is right for the situation of not! I absolutely love this card, it is such a kick!
I have one worry...if that cow on the top has to well.....lift it's tail and take care of some business, I am a little concerned it's gonna get a little slick up there and this whole big pile of California Beef is gonna come tumbling down. Yikes!

I wondered how come so many cows had escaped from their pasture and grazed their way into the gallery at SCS - now I get it! This is wonderful - so very creative. Love the whole thing - what an udderly amazing amount of cutting for this creation! Thanks for sharing this gem!
