As soon as I saw the Onstage online this last quarter (Vol.7 Issue 1 p. 19), I gasped at the card by Amanda Kennedy that inspired this one and raced to my craftroom to try the watercolor crayons with these trees. I could hardly keep the crayon tin from tipping over in my excitement (the 48 ct tin), and I just couldn't believe how beautiful and how many varieties of tree coloring we can have with those crayons and these trees! Ok, I know, I'm a little excited, but I just think that the crayons are such a fun medium, and here I can make a quick MASCULINE card, with something that I already own!!! This is one of the rare cards that I have made more than one of. The striped paper is from the Holiday Thyme designer paper in the Holiday Mini.
For those of you who haven't tried this, simply color on the stamp with the watercolor crayons and mist the colored stamp with water and then stamp. Of course, the amount of water sprayed onto the stamp affects the outcome. More water, less definition. Just depends on the look you are going for. Have fun experimenting!
