 | | My friend of almost 30 years recently mentioned that Tulips were her absolute favorite flower - so that definitely influenced my choice of Crafty Auntie's Birthday Tulips for inspiration today.
Things I changed: Different image and sentiment, Skipped the triple framing and added a partial die cut lattice instead, no sequins.
Stamped my tulips on WC paper twice and painted one set with yellow blooms and one with Pink / Magenta tones - fussy cut once dry.
I die cut the star lattice bg from shiny gold and trimmed it to a side panel so it wouldn't overwhelm my flowers - then arranged the tulips using mounting foam to lift some of the blooms and leaves.
I wanted to re-introduce the magenta color from my tulips in the sentiment but do not have any ink that color . . . So, I colored my stamp with markers - stamped some purple - then layers of several colors of pink until it all magically blended into a tone close to the Magenta watercolor! I did stamp a final time with versamark and embossed with clear powder so I wouldn't accidentally smear this . . . Fussy cut the sentiment - layered onto gold and fussy cut again. |
