I originally planned to send this card to my eye doctor for fitting me in so quickly Monday when my eye swelled up. But then I got a call from the optician working on my youngest grandson's glasses, and I knew he was the one who needed this thank you instead.
I decided to surprise my youngest grandson with new glasses because his have become seriously scratched (mostly his fault). He only likes one specific frame - he chooses it every single year. Unfortunately, these frames were discontinued earlier this year.
Instead of giving up, the optician called the manufacturer personally and asked them to check their warehouse. They found three pairs, and he bought all of them so my grandson would have what he loves for several years to come.
Who goes that far anymore? He truly deserves a caretaker thank you.
This card is super simple, but it carries a whole lot of gratitude.

Nancy, this is the perfect card for your grandson's optician. How nice of him to make calls and get those extra frames. Who does that now-a-days?? He is truly a gem! I love the simplicity of your card. Great Job!!!

That optician is very involved with his clients especially to find these frames for him, you'll make him very happy!! and what a lovely CAS design which illustrates this story perfectly!!

Nancy, I love this card so much! Why? My eye doctor is the Chairman of the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). But most importantly, he's my doctor and I'm so thankful. Dr. Eiseman along with my MUSC ENT did surgery on my eyes two years ago after a failed attempt in northern Virginia. I will have to have the stent in my left probably for forever, but's thats okay. For now I can see. This would be a great card to give him the next time I see him.
I totally agree with you, who does go that far anymore - not many. It may be a CAS card but gratitude is written all over it. I think your optician will see that as well (no pun intended - she smiles).
