My first attempt. To try the plastic wrap technique. But the journal page kinda just absorbed the paint and didnât leave much more than a big puddle of color. I let it dried and I added layers to make my lilacs.

Ooh I understood that perfectly, and I like how defined the ones in the front are. What a bunch of gorgeous shades of purples you have going on for these.

You salvaged it beautifully, MariLynn. Loose format is so forgiving and only needs a suggestion, which you definitely achieved and even if you hadn’t have, these colours are beautiful in any formation. This is a win, and I love that verse.

You do magic with your journals. As the artists showed us to put the first layer of paint as a faint background and then adding the second layer of paint with the petals. You nailed it. TFS
