TLC1106 birthday grid

This is my second version of watercolor grid. For this one, I used paper that's marked as mixed media, but it really can't handle much water. Since the splotches aren't wet-on-wet, I figured the paper could handle the moisture. This paper is much whiter than my watercolor paper. I went with a birthday theme on this card, choosing an array of images. Added coloring and a little doodling with shimmer pain and gel pens.

I know what you mean about whiter than watercolour paper - the whitest one I've found is Crafter's Companion, and otherwise I find it hard to add a watercolour panel to a white base because of the mismatch. I like the way the balloons and candle carry across from one coloured patch to another.
