I had this card in my head & today was the perfect day to create it. I cut strips from backgrounds that I had made with alcohol inks & Distress sprays. I love taking an afternoon just to make mixed media backgrounds. Saves time when making a card. Thanks for taking a peek!

Lesley, your mixed media scraps are beautiful. I love how you stamped in your bg in black and white tulips, and built your fabulous scrap layer on top then coloured up that tulip again for a showstopper.

The mix of alcohol‑ink and spray backgrounds makes such a striking set of strips, and the way you layered them behind the tulip gives the whole design a vibrant, polished look. The contrast with the black‑and‑white stamping on the base is especially effective, letting that colored bloom really shine. Wonderful use of scraps, and thank you for joining in my challenge.

Wow, those are gorgeous backgrounds you made. I usually just toss scraps of DP but I must admit I do keep my own background scraps. Lovely having the same floral background uncoloured for the base layer.
