 | | I've been MIA this week because of visiting sister, some events to attend for my grand-girls, an art gathering and a concert I sang in. So I'm making it up to Beverly by doing her TLC from Monday (scrape painting) and other challenges this week. BTW Beverly, 'eleventy hundred' is so JRR Tolkien. Love it!
I get the most artistic satisfaction from doing backgrounds so I chose TLC800 (scrape painting). Several colors of paint, although blues (indigo) are most prominent. There is also some silver and some interference blue. The ABC24 challenge colors were indigo and iridescent but I thought 'interference' could count.
I used this week's sketch, which I liked a lot. I don't love a lot of layers and random bits and pieces. If I don't want to cover a background, I often use twine for a layer.
Finally, Sabrina's challenge about Mr. Caxton was just the ticket for me to combine all these challenges. I hadn't used the 'Typeset' set yet so that was fun. The circle is a stamp off of the dark blue ink. And the fact that the sentiment had the word 'type' was perfect.
Thanks for all these challenges! I ditto what Sallie said about learning something from Sabrina's challenges! |
