 | | Salt to create blooms in the watercolor is always a challenge for me. I tried anyway. One thing I have noticed recently is I try to get all my shading texture and painting all done in one layer. I forget that by adding multiple layers I can have more depth. I did one layer and used the salt but when it was dry and I removed the salt I didnât particularly like it. There were some blooms in the right hand bottom corner but the rest was boring. So I decided to do a second lay and avoid layering over the corner that I did like. I added salt on the second layer. When it was dry ywas better but by not completely adding s second layer left the corner looking weird. So I added a third layer of paint over whole area.i added salt again. This time I felt like I had moderate success. I decided to zoom in on my dandelion, with some of the big one cut off and the one on the right having lost sll but a couple of its seeds. |
