I found this silly sign in the stencils site and laughed as I knew I had this old Rubbenecker sentiment that was pretty similar and Hubs bday is soon. I have had these dies and stamps a few years now I guess and had not gotten around to playing with them so this was a first attempt and I may do some more soon. DS's bday is also soon. The mix of humor and nostalgia in this design is wonderful. The weathered woodgrain, kraft tones, and watercolor details give the scene a lived‑in, tackle‑box feel, and the cluster of fishing gear adds great movement around the sentiment. The bingo chip is such a clever personal touch, and the cord and hooks bring in just the right amount of shine. A terrific masculine birthday build with loads of character.
