 | | A C.A.S.E. for Featured Stamper challenge #993 to recognize the Splitcoast gallery of Nancy, known on Splitcoast as ntowry.
I pinned about a dozen of her projects for further study, and decided Spring Window by ntowry at Splitcoaststampers would be a fun start today. I remember making something similar long ago. Hopefully I will find time for other cards too.
I started by stamping and coloring the floral inside, deciding to center it to make the window on front easier to align. I stamped the sentiment across the stems in black where it would be hidden by the front panel.
The background was stamped on the front panel, then I die cut and attached the scalloped piece and cut through both layers to make the window. After texturing, this was glued to the card front and then I cut the white layer away.
The front sentiment (James 1:17) was stamped on white, then I used the die as a stencil to determine where to cut. I used a piercing tool on the side holes with limited success and added pearls instead of eyelets (which I still have plenty of).
This was fun and now I have a lovely Easter card ready to mail, so THANKS!
Inside: same as envelope
