This card is for this week's Teaparty, The Promise of Morning, for the Cortese family, who are dealing with some serious health issues with their 4-month-old child. I totally missed the part about adding some of the family's favorite things to our cards, and literally went with "sunrise". But I hope my card brings them a lift anyway!
Masked a circle for the sun on the smooth white CS; ink-blended sunrise colors and the sky. Masked with the "negative" mask around sun, and ink-blended yellows for the sun. Replaced the mask over the sun, and placed the stencil over it. Stenciled a few rays at random, being careful not to over-blend the yellow into the blue sky (I've never seen green sun rays, lol!)
Stamped the tops of the mountain range stamp from the In The Meadow set at the bottom of the panel with Perfect Plum. Masked the stamped mountain tops, and stamped the mountain tops again to fill to the edge of the CS panel.
Stamped the verse with Onyx Black ink. Sponged the edges of the panel lightly with Perfect Plum. Layered onto a purple panel and onto the card front.
TFL!

There actually is an optical phenomenon called green flash which can happen at sunrise or sunset - I think I did once see it. You did great with with all that masking, and that's such a comforting verse.
