The cover of this cookbook remined me of the springerle cookies my grandmother would make for Christmas. She made a stiff dough flavored lightly with anise, then would press a hand-carved board onto the dough. Cut them apart and baked. The EF I used is to give the impressions that a board would make. I tried to duplicate the creamy white color of those cookies. Topped the embossing with a tag.

What a beautiful card and a precious story. The springerle cookies sound like a wonderful family tradition. The card perfectly captures the nostalgia and warmth of those memories.

The embossing captures such a lovely sense of tradition, perfectly echoing the springerle cookie impressions. The creamy tones and delicate tag give the card a nostalgic warmth that feels both elegant and heartfelt.
