 | | I thought I could combine Lydia's book page MIX challenge with using Sophia for Lisa's hat challenge from Thursday: WT1078 – Hats – November 6, 2025 by Shoe Girl at Splitcoaststampers
As I said, this was the first stamp I thought of but I had used it recently enough. I stamped her on a book page - since volume 2 of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary runs to 2500 pages I can often choose a suitable word so long as starts with any letter after "N", and the part of the page I used includes Romance, which was in my mind a play on the Rubber Romance stamp ;-). Masked her, and stamped a couple of peg stamps over the open space, then sponged with distress inks. Mounted on stiff card for strength.
The background was a smoosh piece with some Mermaid Markers from my stash. I embossed it with the Tin Tile ef, then swiped the top with some darker colours of Archival ink. Spattered with gold, edged with gold. The gold frame was on my desk, it hadn't worked with a Christmas card idea and it framed her nicely. I added some Primas with microbead centres, some die-cut foliage and a few discreet sequins. Her hat is ornamented with a punched flower. |
