Thank you Jen for sharing this wonderful story about Josh! To meet the challenge for a masculine card featuring hearts, I used a heart stamp, clear embossing powder and ink for an ink resist panel. Afterwards, I over stamped the panel with a graphic image to give it more of a masculine look. The eclipse technique was made using letter dies to spell out his name. The top most letters were cut from cardstock that I had stamped with a houndstooth stamp. I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment and adhered it to the letters. It was such fun to create a card to celebrate such a terrific young man!

Ooh, I love this, Rita! Great job with those hearts that blend into the background, but are so perfect! I also love the eclipse technique with the different pattern on the letters. This is just so wonderful and I know Josh will love it!

Oh my gosh, this is such a great card for Josh! Love the hearts/ink resist and adding that stamp from work of art really adds the masculine touch. The herringbone letters look great! Excellent sentiment for him too!

Your combination of emboss resist and extra stamping makes for a fab background. I had thought at first that it was DP till I read your description. How funny that your card is beside the other one I have seen with houndstooth!
