 | | My card is a sample for the Color Challenge hosted by Karen. Her beautiful colors are Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath, and Granny Apple Green. The dessert option is Anything Goes. My dessert is something new, which is the new Stampin Up Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder.
I started by stamping the peony and then coloring with blends markers. I used both Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia on the petals and Granny Apple Green on the leaves. Then, I die-cut the image into an eyelet edged circle. The DSP was put directly on the card base. I had planned to wrap ribbon in between the papers. Well, I do not have Bubble Bath ribbon and there was not a good way to wrap the ribbon. So, I created a faux ribbon. I cut a strip of Bubble Bath cardstock and embossed it with the new Mini Corrugated EF. After adhering the "ribbon" and circle to the card, I embellished with iridescent gems that pick up the colors beautifully and use Wink of Stella sparkle on the flower. I left off the sentiment until I use the card.
