More details on my blog Kath's Blog Everyday Life Of A Crafter
I began by die-cutting 3 strips for each rosette from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Backdrops paper using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Rosettes Thinlits. I folded each strip on the score lines, fixed together to create the rosettes and attached to the small die-cut circle from Vault Rosettes Thinlits using hot glue. I die-cut the medallion and fixed to the front again with hot glue. I die-cut the Santa from Be Of Good Cheer from Distress Black HeavyStock and various shades of Sizzix Surfacez cardstock. Once assembled, I dabbed on Ranger Glossy Accents randomly with a small brush and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I die-cut the greenery from green shades of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Backdrop papers using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Modern Festive Thinlits, tapped on Distress Grit Paste with a palette knife and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I stamped the banner and sentiment from Simon Says Christmas Cheer 6" x 8" stamp set on to Simon Says School House Red cardstock, inked with White Pigment ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and fussy cut using my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips. I assembled the rosettes using small dots of hot glue to attach the die-cuts - how cute. I trimmed Neenah Desert Storm card to be slightly smaller than the 6" x 8" white gift bags. I placed the large snowflake from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Retro Flakes on to a Tim Holtz Grid Blocks, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I repeated the process with the small snowflake, inked with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink. Using the grid blocks speeded up the process for stamping 6 panels, as opposed to using my stamp platform and having to clean and move the stamps each time. I inked around the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a mini round blending tool, wiped the excess ink off the embossing with a cloth, fixed the rosette in place with hot glue and fixed the panel to the gift bag.
