Brenda has us water-coloring daisies in the WCW challenge.

I may try this again and fix the issues, but it was fun, and I learned. One thing I learned is I need to get some rock salt, but table salt did work somewhat.

Great looking card, Nancy. I like how you made the daisy the real focal point of this composition and not as much emphasis on the background. Wonderful job in water coloring it all.

I really love the texture you created throughout the painting. The center has texture and that background is amazing. Even with the smaller salt crystals you got that neat look. Personally, I love a lot of splatter on a painting, so this speaks to me.

I've had really gook luck with Kosher salt but the biggest thing with any salt application is that the bg has to be pretty wet AND it has to dry naturally. Love the oversized daisy with it's just emerging bud and that bg feels like an explosion of 7-up or Mountain Dew with all the happy little bubbles!
