At first glance, it's difficult to determine if the stamp is a fox or a hairy opossum. Admittedly, coloring a fox proved to be quite challenging, although the stamp of the fox itself is somewhat questionable.
This card showcases an intriguing stamp with a wildlife scene that opens up from the animal's back. To create the scene, I had to do some fussy stamping to ensure the trees were green. These trees are part of the stamp and not masked and stamped.
I did mask off the fox to create a background treeline. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the fox and the ground, while the sky was created through sponging with tissue paper and paper towels.
I was unhappy with the way my fox drawing turned out, and almost decided not to post the card. However, when I got home from work last night, my wife surprised me by saying that she really liked my fox card. This was unusual, as she doesn't usually comment on my artwork unless asked, but her positive feedback changed my mind about sharing the card.
As always, thank you for looking.

I think those trees within the body are so cool..good job on the fussy stamping. And I see you did some real masking...well done. Your fox looks sort of pensive..I wonder what he's thinking. Glad you posted this!

I'm so glad you decided to share this, and I think the coloring on your fox is beautiful! Love the cutout with the trees in the back, that's really cool! Great card!

Absolutely always post! Even if it's so we all can have a good laugh. LOL. But your wife is right here. This is a very cool card. That stamp is fascinating and I love the way you stamped/colored it. I agree that he definitely does have an opossum face.

I would have thought it was definitely a fox with that long tail and pointed ears and mask - but then, we don't have opossums here for me to compare. Because of the tree scene in his back, he reminds me of a rather ragged one I saw around work just after the first lockdown when there were so few people around that the wildlife came onto the city streets far more visibly.
