 | | At first glance, it's difficult to determine if the stamp is a fox or a hairy opossum. Admittedly, coloring a fox proved to be quite challenging, although the stamp of the fox itself is somewhat questionable.
This card showcases an intriguing stamp with a wildlife scene that opens up from the animal's back. To create the scene, I had to do some fussy stamping to ensure the trees were green. These trees are part of the stamp and not masked and stamped.
I did mask off the fox to create a background treeline. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the fox and the ground, while the sky was created through sponging with tissue paper and paper towels.
I was unhappy with the way my fox drawing turned out, and almost decided not to post the card. However, when I got home from work last night, my wife surprised me by saying that she really liked my fox card. This was unusual, as she doesn't usually comment on my artwork unless asked, but her positive feedback changed my mind about sharing the card.
As always, thank you for looking. |
