Jacqueline has challenged us to play Teaparty Tic-Tac-Toe for this week's Teaparty. We are sending cards to Ann's neighbor, Pat, who really needs some paper hugs!
I chose the diagonal Water-based product, Faith/Prayer Sentiment, and Camping Related for my Tic-Tac-Toe. When I was a kid we went camping a lot, but in a tent, not a cute camper like the one on my card! We often camped by a lake, as my Dad really LOVED to fish. I hope my little camper by the lake will help lift Pat's spirits a bit.
Stamped the scene on the smooth side of the watercolor paper with the Versafine ink, masking the trees on the right for some depth. Drew in a lakeshore with an Ohuhu drawing pen. Colored the scene with watercolor pencils, and watercolored it. Added a bit of white gel pen to the lake for waves. Stamped the small grass clump randomly. Stamped the sentiment at the top with Versafine ink.
Stamped the camper onto a scrap of watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils and the silver gel pen. Fussy-cut it out, and popped it up on the scene with some extra layers of watercolor paper.
This is my favorite way to watercolor, as I don't have to draw anything myself! :-) TFL!

A great choice of verse, and a beautiful scene. Assuming this is the States where you have lakes large enough to look like seas in bearing that in mind as a possibility, but this makes me think of many Irish campsites beside the sea.

Oh Liz, You must have had a blast camping with your family if your campsites looked anything close to this scene. I think if I were there I wouldn't want to leave. I bet this will conjure many happy moments for Pat as well. I love how you put this all together with the stamping, masking, fussy cutting, coloring. even drawing in the lines for the lake. Every step perfectly placed and crafted. Awesome card.
