 | | I am late making this baby card for a shower, so it was at the top of my 100 days list today. it's a shower instead of a sprinkle, but close enough. Headed to the post office so it will go out right away.
I used the baby shower invitation for the front of the card. Daddy is a pilot, so there is an airplane theme going on. I cut out the airplane and mounted it on a strip of window sheet so it is sproingy. Had to add a penny for weight on the back.
I used a cloud wallpaper sample for the BG because it matched the little image that I stole from the baby shower invite.
Inside is a welcoming committee after the little elephant has landed. So of course I had to get out my elephant stamps!
I just love the little bird parade carrying the Hooray banner from Henry Says. But...I keep all the elephants in one box and always use the elephant from Love You Lots instead of Henry the Elephant from the other set.
Mom and Dad are the adventurous type, so this sentiment seemed to fit their new adventure into parenthood.
I stamped everything with StazOn so it would stay on the vinyl wallpaper. Colored with water based markers then clear embossed. Paper-pieced the banners to make them pop. I added some tan alcohol marker on top of the embossing to match the inside elephant to the one on the front. I signed above the Hooray banner. |
