I made a 6x6 canvas board summer scene, with a lot of texture, but not so many details. I used Distress Paint, various pastes and just two small sentiment stamps.
Coat the board with gesso, adding a horizon line with a palette knife. When dry, add a thick layer of texture paste in the front. Let dry and then add some grit-paste to the sand and to the sea. Place cheese cloth into the paste.
Dry-brush more paint to add texture. Stamp two sentiments and splatter paint on the background.
