Challenge: Create a card/project inspired by one of your favorite hymns.
The hymn I chose is In the Garden, by C. Austin Miles. The words are "I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses."
I placed hollyhocks first on the card, colored them in purple tones and added the gate and greeting. That is why the purple gems are on the card. All looked good, but then I went back and read the words to the song again. I decided it needed roses and greenery for the arbor. So more items were added. I like this garden and would like to walk through this garden.
I used a card from Amy K. in the gallery as inspiration for the layout. She points the user to her blog where you can print her directions. They were quite helpful.
Many months later...The Teapot Challenge is for Christine who likes to garden. I will send this card to her. |
