I recently watched a Tim Holtz video, where he explains in depth about alcohol inks, the pearl alcohol inks and the alloy versus mixative inks. I'm having much more success now, so I made the background using brown tones and an alloy for some shine. The flowers were die cut, colored with distress oxides and placed on the panel with a torn vellum layer, to help the flowers stand out better. I tied gold thread around the small bouquet.

What a beautiful job on your background. It shows just enough through the torn vellum, which really makes your beautiful flowers pop. Nice use of the colors.

Just lovely. Yellow tulips are so cheery! Love the bg and those fab die cuts tied with gold.
