More details on my blog:
Layers of ink
I have a whole bunch of items for altering collected through the years, particularly from second hand stores. Today, I altered one of those wooden frames. You can also do the techniques on a card or in an art journal. My little frame will become a gift.
Coat with gesso and then paint the frame grey. Mix a little red paint into texture paste and apply through a brick stencil. When dry, paint the bricks with shades of orange. Dry brush with dark brown or black paint. Add some gold wax.
Distress metallic pieces with paint and stamp sentiments on strips of inky watercolor paper.
Thank you so much for looking!
Happy stamping!
