I wanted to do a phoenix, but I don't have one. Next thought was a mermaid, of which I have more than one. But in the end I went with this little dragon, because I don't think I've ever used his egg before. I sponged a couple of DOX inks into photo paper and used that, so it has a nice glossy shell-like finish. Foreground is a crackle background, originally stamped in a brown which didn't really show so I switched to merlot. Background is s monoprint background from my stash. The dragon is assorted green alcohol inks on glossy photo paper with a couple of dabs of gold and some copper on the membranes of his wings. Spent a while looking for a suitable sentiment and found this one.

That's a fun dragon, my friend, just hatching! Love the egg. Such a terrific card with the sentiment.

This dragon is definitely cute rather than ferocious. Nice job with the colors on the dragon and the eggshells, as well as the interesting background and foreground papers.
