 | | Jeanne is hosting our color challenge this week with a beautiful AND fun mix of colors: Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Fresh Freesia and your favorite pink for dessert.
I started with a piece of Balmy Blue and blended Pacific Point ink in from the edges. I spritzed some water on it and left it to dry overnight. This morning I die cut three snowflakes into it with dies that cut the designs into the cardstock, not out ouf it - if that makes sense. I had to carefully trim 3/16" of of the top and side so that I could mount it onto a Fresh Freesia and have a bit of a border show.
I wasn't sure I really needed a pink with these colors but decided that there was more color in the Polished Pink Opal Rounds than the Fresh Freesia. It actually looks like Fresh Freesia once it is on the blue. Let's just say I went light on dessert to save up for Thanksgiving.
I can imagine so many different directions to go with these colors and look forward to seeing other creations in the gallery. Oh, and have a Happy Thanksgiving! |
