I started this card for MMTPT746, but this stamp set and me haven't found our groove yet. Some of the flowers didn't come out quite right. I saw this fabulous card by our newest Featured Stamper 4littlekittens:
I was inspired to tear off the flowers I did not like and do a framed panel. I also used an EF for the background panel (different folder). I watercolored my sentiment instead of using ink, and then stamped it. I tore it as well.
This was supposed to be a patriotic card, and didn't quite make it. I think the poppies work too. It is off to a family that deserves tons of encouragement.
Congrats 4littlekittens - hope you enjoy seeing how your great gallery inspires others!

Poppies definitely work for a patriotic card IMO ~ I've always been moved by the poem "In Flanders Fields". I like these poppies and the torn edges you've incorporated into the panels.

Love how we chose the same inspiration and came up with such different cards - your poppies are gorgeous, and of course so meaningful right now. As for crafty tools and finding a groove - I completely relate! I think you're well on your way!

I really like this. I think it's perfect for our teaparty family this week. How cool that you watercolored the sentiment - I'm going to try that. I think you did wonderful with your poppies, but I know what you mean about getting along with a stamp! Hugz~♥
