IC878 Mondrian inspired birthday
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Katchoo1

I again have limited supplies as I’m away from home on a dogsitting gig, so the inspiration challenge is often hit and Miss…I actually have a couple of stamps at home based on classic art works and pinned the paintings to come back to later! However I did find this rather plain piece by Mondrian:

https://pin.it/4AxwQfj

Which kind of looks like a shower wall to me…but that made me remember that I had recently picked up some stick-on wall tiles at Dollar Tree with a vague notion of using them for Christmas card backgrounds so I pulled out the one that resembled the painting and decided to go for it…

I cut the tile sticker to size and attached to a card front. I didn’t have Christmas stuff handy so decided to make a birthday card instead. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and cut out, and layered onto some black metallic cardstock. I finished with a silver glittery star to break up all the squareness a bit! This will go to one of my seniors.

Way to go on the awesome color & texture in this card! I would have never thought to use stick-on tiles in card making, but shiny silver is a delight!
