Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a rich and lovely combo to work with: Soft Succulent, Rich Razzleberry, and Evening Evergreen. The dessert option is "nature." I'm thinking a flower would entitle me to dessert, right?
I broke out my new background stamp, Vintage French Advertisements, inked it up with Evening Evergreen ink and stamped it onto Soft Succulent cardstock. To give it a further vintage feel, I splattered with some diluted Evening Evergreen ink, sponged three sides, and used a new stencil to give the impression of a torn edge (it's not!). Mounted that layer on a card base of Evening Evergreen.
I cut six layers of flowers and the leaves and molded them with a ball stylus, then stacked and glued for a lot of dimension. Added one small Soft Succulent opal gem in the center of the flower and three Evening Evergreen opal gems scattered on the card. Added the saying from the Small Talk booket, which I brushed with Soft Succulent ink and mounted on a strip of Evening Evergreen.
I really enjoyed working with these colors, and I hope you'll give them a try.

Barbara, your vintage take on this week's colors is outstanding! I love the stenciled torn edge (you are a tricky girl)! Your flower was worth all the work you put into creating it... it's beautiful! TFS
