It was interesting to find myself planning a card with just paper & inks - no layers/textures/embellishments. Perfectly smooth!
I started by die cutting the trees, then used it to mask while I spritzed diluted blue and green for my background.
I wanted it light so I could color my gnome. There were some happy accidents with a bit of blue in the nozzle when I switched to green plus a bit of green overspray. To me this added some depth.
This is my final card for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges for the SCS Fan Club last month.

I really like your one layer, Gayle. The trees in the bg are wonderful, and the gnomie is such fun!
