My card for the teapot Tuesday challenge. The word I chose is "joy". It was once explained to me that happiness depends on one's circumstances or "happenings", whereas joy runs deeper and contains a measure of peace and wellness despite the surroundings. I like that. I know it is possible to have joy even in the midst of grief and pain. I hope Kandie will have a measure of joy which increasingly grows as time and life go on without her loved one.
I'm not altogether happy with the outcome of this card but it will have to do today. Hope each of you find joy this week.

What a lovely write-up about your word choice - very thoughtful and, I believe, true. I think your girl swinging depicts that feeling very well indeed. Delightful card!

That image perfectly captures your word "joy" and don't we see most often see it in the simple pleasures of young children. I love your definition of joy. Wise words and so true. Love your coloring. That you left her sky wide open with no trees, etc. makes it look like she is soaring through the air. Definitely the epitome of "joy".

This card takes me back a few years- I always loved to swing, and still do! I really like your write up and how you described happiness vs joy. A wonderful paper Hug for Kandie!
